Residents in southern Saskatchewan woke up Friday morning, the first day of spring, to an unwelcome sight. A fresh round of snow fell overnight in the area, combining with warm temperatures to create slippery and slushy conditions on highways and city roads.
Previous to Friday, much of the province was experiencing above normal temperatures, and very Spring-like conditions. The first day of Spring has turned into one step back in the melting process. The Regina area is not in the clear for snow yet. The area could see up to another 5cm of snow through Saturday.
